Originally and for more than 40 years, Casa Mora was the private residence of the Mora Wathen family, who in 2003 decided to transform their home in a small and elegant Boutique-Hotel. Casa Mora then became in a luxurious hotel dedicated to provide an excellent service in a homelike and pleasant ambiance. Still today, the original owners of Casa Mora are in charge of the administration of the hotel, in order to guaranty a high quality service and a unique and relaxing experience for our guests.		The house was built in late 70's, by the famous Costa Rican architect Rafael Angel Agüero Segura. He was inspired in the modern architectural concepts of those years, widely represented in London where he coursed his post-graduate studies. The finishing and details of the house were made out of the best materials available in Costa Rica at the time. All the woodwork of the house was made out of the finest woods, most of which are considered precious today. When the house was finished, architect Agüero was awarded the First Honorific Mention of the Architect´s Week of 1977, held by the National Architects and Engineers College of Costa Rica.”
